Can anyone buy from BDI?

BDI sells its service & products only to retailers, industrial, commercial, institutional or other professional business users or to other wholesalers and related subordinated service providers. Accordingly, sales through this platform is meant only for the purpose of trade, business and profession and not for the purpose of personal consumption. Therefore, only the above mentioned category of buyers with active business license or GST number can register in this platform.

Can I order and search for products via the Internet?

You can search for the products via internet by visiting our platform. However, you must register before ordering anything through our platform. It is mandatory to fulfill the above mentioned conditions and also accept all the terms (Please refer to the policies) to be eligible to register. Your registration details will be verified by BDI before approving your account for transactions.  

Does BDI provide on-site technical service?

BDI provides on-site technical services through our field sales representatives and joint cooperation with our manufacturer's engineers. Contact your local branch for additional information.

What manufacturers are distributed by BDI?

BDI is an authorized distributor of many of the world premier manufacturers of industrial products and services. You can find the manufacturer directory by name or product type from our brochure. However, please note that BDI may not be authorized for all the products in all the locations. Please contact your customer care or the local branch to know the exact list of authorization for a particular region.

What are the products distributed by BDI?

Our website includes a broad selection of products that includes those authorized by the manufacturers and those in which BDI has the sourcing capability and offers to customers as part of our consolidation support. You can also change the country using the dropdown menu given next to the search box to search for the products sold in the respective countries. However, if after viewing our catalogue you do not find what you are looking for, please contact us for immediate assistance.

What are BDI's standard payment terms?

BDI’s standard payment term is “against proforma invoice” unless agreed otherwise in writing. We do not provide payment gateway option. Hence kindly transfer the payment to our account using Net banking / UPI. All domestic payments must be in India Rupee. For the accounts where the line of credit has been established, the same can be applied. Contact your local branch for details on credit terms.

What is the return policy for BDI?

Please refer to the terms or contact your local branch or the branch the material was ordered from for the return process.
What is the standard lead time or how long does it take for BDI to ship my order?

You can check the stock status online. All the stock items will be shipped within a day or two from the date of payment. You are requested to confirm the lead time with your local branch / Customer care for the Items that are not in stock. Lead time or stock status are subject to change.

From where my order will be shipped?

BDI has branches at different locations. BDI will make all efforts to ship your orders from the nearest branch or branch that has stock so as to minimize the lead time / shipping cost unless specified by the customer.


Can I change the shipping location or can the Bill to and Ship to be different?

BDI will consider default shipping address as that of the billing address which pertains to the GST certificate or number provided at the time of registration. Any deviation to this must be separately communicated along with necessary documents including GST certificate and / or the number of the ship to party.
