Outside Sales

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for the successful growth of the customer base in an assigned BDI territory by establishing new customers and actively servicing current customers.

  • Maintaining and actively servicing existing BDI customers assigned to a specific sales region
  • Capturing new business opportunities within current customer base via targeted strategies
  • Identifying and actively pursuing new business opportunities to expand the current customer base

Education & Experience:

H.S. Diploma or GED required.  3-5 years in a sales environment a must, with additional experience in the Industrial Supply industry required.  Exceptional communication and presentation skills and highly self-motivated, with the ability to motivate others.  Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and the ability to organize and multi-task.  Strong product knowledge of bearings and power transmission also a must. The candidate should have an understanding of BDI’s business model with high exposure to business management and/or business management education.  Possession of a firm understanding of not only product knowledge, but application and pricing of BDI products as well highly recommended.
