Dodge® Grid-Lign® Metallic Coupling
The Grid-Lign® metallic coupling is built for reliability and performance in heavy-duty applications and harsh environments when strength and flexibility are needed, making it ideal for bulk material handling applications in industries including aggregate, mining, and grain handling.
The Grid-Lign® metallic coupling consists of two steel shaft hubs, a high-strength steel tapered grid element, two seals, and a cover assembly. Its tapered grid element and contoured hub grooves transmit torque efficiently while accommodating misalignment and cushioning shock loads. Its high-strength steel grid element is quenched and tempered to provide extended product life in a compact, power-dense size. The design allows uniform contact during light, normal, and shock-loading conditions.
- Torque-dense design supports up to 8,250,000 lbs-in (930,000 Nm) of torque
- Multiple shaft attachment methods to maximize versatility: clearance fit, interference fit, and Taper-Lock® bushed
- Engineered for maximum combined angular and parallel misalignment and vibration-damping capabilities
- Utilizes a 65-degree set screw angle to maximize holding power for both radial and axial loads
- ATEX-certified to be intrinsically safe in potentially explosive environments
- Interchangeable with Falk tapered grid couplings to easily upgrade existing applications
