Sourcing Department
Sourcing is an important part of the BDI Family. This department manages our supply portfolio, ensuring that we have sufficient inventory at all times to meet the needs of our customers. The Sourcing team is constantly analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggesting methods to decease expenditure.
Responsibilities
- Managing supplier relationships, negotiations and margin enhancement initiatives
- Partnering with BDI Central Distribution Center to provide product to customer plants
- Monitoring and right-sizing inventory assets across the enterprise
- Collaborating with customer plant personnel to establish inventory controls and purchasing processes
- Delivering import and export expertise to US customers and employees
