LOCTITE® Threadlockers
Eliminate fastener loosening when failure is not an option. Traditional fastening methods leave gaps. LOCTITE® threadlockers fill those gaps and eliminate side-to-side movement. LOCTITE threadlockers dramatically increase the reliability of threaded assemblies by preventing fastener loosening – a leading cause of catastrophic equipment failure.
LOCTITE® 243 is a medium strength blue threadlocking adhesive that seals and secures metal nuts and bolts to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration.
LOCTITE® 263 is a red liquid threadlocker designed for more permanent locking and sealing, although can be removed with localized heating. Both LOCTITE 243 and 263 work on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces without the use of a primer and is proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g., motor oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluid. In addition both have a high end temperature rating to 360°F.
- Prevents loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g. pumps, gear boxes or presses

- Loctite 243 permits disassembly with hand tools for servicing
