Formsprag FSO Clutch Series

General purpose, ball-bearing FSO clutches are suitable for overrunning, backstopping and light to medium-duty indexing applications. Units are oil lubricated and equipped with lip type seals. Increased speeds are possible with steel labyrinth seals. Models are available with FDA-approved food grade greases and a variety of surface coatings required for wash down duty applications.

FSO clutches are often used on multi-speed, single direction conveyors for non-destructive accommodation of speed differentials in powered rollers and belt drive systems. The FSO clutches allow the slower speed zone to over-speed during the transitional period without back driving the slower drive system.
